I'm a fan and you should be too, because Three 6 Mafia are Dirty South music pioneers along with UGK, The Whole Rap-A-Lot Family, and also The Whole No Limit Family. Cash Money really did'nt come on strong until the late 1990's. If you listen to the rap artists' beats today, they might not admit it but they were somehow influenced by Three 6.
In my opinion I will personally name people who I think as of now are copying their musical craft. Jermaine Dupri, Scott Storch, Rodney Jerkins (R&B), and lots of others who I can't remember off the top of the dome. I'm a DC nigga. If you from DC, you done heard or had at least 4 Three 6 CD's. All we listen to is Three 6, Plies, Lil Wayne (of course), B.G., Boosie, Webbie and The Trill Fam, Scarface, T.I., Gucci Mane and whatever else nigga we think got LYRICS and BEATS to match what they are trying to express. Music is an art form of life, either what you have seen or what you have done.
All I have to say to niggas who copy my mans and 'nem, I think Lil' Kim said
it best.... GET YOUR OWN SHIT & STOP RIDIN' MINE !!!!!!
